Google Drive Backups (optional)
Datenweitergabe an Dritte
Deine Rechte
Du hast nach der DSGVO folgende Rechte:
- Auskunft (Art. 15): Auskunft über deine gespeicherten Daten
- Berichtigung (Art. 16): Korrektur unrichtiger Daten
- Löschung (Art. 17): Löschung deiner Daten
- Einschränkung (Art. 18): Einschränkung der Verarbeitung
- Widerspruch (Art. 21): Widerspruch gegen die Verarbeitung
- Beschwerde: Recht auf Beschwerde bei einer Datenschutzbehörde
Für alle Anfragen: [email protected]
Datensicherheit

This Privacy Policy explains how Hoster24 (hoster24.org), operated by Lenny Kalmring, handles your personal data. We comply with the requirements of the GDPR.

Website: hoster24.org
Data We Collect
When you register and use Hoster24, we collect the following data:
- Registration data: Email address, username, and password (stored encrypted)
- Server data: Name, configuration, and runtime data of your Minecraft servers
- Connection data: IP address, timestamps of logins and API requests (in server logs, max. 7 days)
- Payment data: For paid plans, payments are processed via Stripe. Hoster24 does not store credit card data. The Stripe Privacy Policy applies.
Purpose of Processing
We process your data solely to:
- Provide and operate the Hoster24 service
- Manage your account and authenticate you
- Create, manage, and operate your Minecraft servers
- Respond to support requests
- Process payments (for paid plans)
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, support replies)
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure operation of the service).
Google Drive Backups (Optional)
Hoster24 offers an optional backup feature that saves server backups to your personal Google Drive. This feature is voluntary and requires explicit consent via Google OAuth.
- Hoster24 only accesses files the app itself has created (
drive.filescope) - Your Google access token is not stored on our servers — it remains only in your browser session
- You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions
- The Google Privacy Policy also applies
Email Delivery
Transactional emails are sent via Resend (resend.com). Your email address is transmitted to Resend for this purpose. The Resend Privacy Policy applies.
Cookies and Sessions
Hoster24 uses session cookies to keep you logged in. These cookies are:
- Technically necessary for the operation of the service
- Not used for tracking or advertising
- Limited to 24 hours
- Valid across all Hoster24 subdomains (
.hoster24.org)
Google Ads (conversion measurement): To measure whether our Google ads lead to sign-ups, we use the Google tag (gtag.js) by Google Ireland Limited. It runs in Consent Mode v2: as long as you have not agreed in the cookie banner, Google sets no cookies. Google then only receives cookieless signals without a cookie identifier, such as a page view, and sees your IP address when the script loads. Only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG) may Google set cookies to attribute a click on our ad to a sign-up. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The Google Privacy Policy applies.
We store your choice for 180 days in the h24_consent cookie. You can withdraw your consent at any time:
We do not use any other analytics or tracking tools, and we do not show third-party ads on Hoster24.
Data Sharing with Third Parties
We do not share your data with third parties except in the following cases:
- Stripe: For payment processing on paid plans
- Resend: For email delivery
- Google: If you activate the optional backup feature, and for Google Ads (see section 6)
- Cobblr: Services the desktop app connects to, see section 11
- Legal obligation: If we are legally required to do so
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is stored as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time: [email protected]. Server logs are automatically deleted after 7 days at the latest.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Access (Art. 15): Information about your stored data
- Rectification (Art. 16): Correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure (Art. 17): Deletion of your data
- Restriction (Art. 18): Restriction of processing
- Objection (Art. 21): Right to object to processing
- Complaint: Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
For all requests: [email protected]
Data Security
All connections to Hoster24 are TLS-encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Access to server data is protected by session authentication.
Cobblr (Desktop App)
Cobblr is our free Minecraft launcher and mod manager for Windows, macOS and Linux. The app runs on your device; profiles, mods, worlds and settings stay there. We only receive the following:
- Update check: On start and every 30 seconds afterwards, the app asks hoster24.org for new versions. It sends a random installation ID (not tied to your device or hardware), operating system, app version and whether a Microsoft account is signed in. If you are signed in to the app with your Hoster24 account, the installation ID is linked to your account. We use this data only for statistics, such as how many installations run the latest version. Installations that have not checked in for 12 months are deleted automatically.
- Downloads: We only count app downloads as a number per day and platform, without IP addresses.
- Hoster24 features (optional): If you sign in to the app with your Hoster24 account, we process the same data as in the dashboard, e.g. your server list, files and mods you upload to your server, and servers you create in the app.
- Friends and shared profiles (optional): We store your friends list and shared profiles (name, Minecraft version, mod loader and the list of included mods, resource packs and shaders) so they can be synced to your friends. Members of a shared profile can see its contents and your username. You can stop sharing a profile or remove friends at any time. Modpacks sent as a copy are stored until your friend accepts or declines them, for at most 30 days.
- Activity (optional): While you are signed in, the app reports every minute whether you are online and what you are playing (profile name, mod loader, Minecraft version and whether you are on a server, without its name or address). Only your confirmed friends can see this. We only store the latest state, no history. You can hide it at any time under “Activity” in the app settings, which deletes the entry.
- Join requests (optional): If a friend asks to play on your server, we show you the request for 10 minutes and delete it after at most 45 minutes. If you accept, your friend receives the server address, Minecraft version, mod loader and, if you allow it, your mods (see “Files for friends”). If you decline, they receive none of this.
- Chat (optional): We store the messages you write to friends in the app, together with sender, recipient, time and read status, so they reach the recipient. Only confirmed friends can write and read them. Messages are deleted automatically after 180 days.
- Images in chat (optional): If you send a friend an image, the app shrinks it first and removes metadata such as the location where it was taken. We store the image with sender, recipient and time; only you and the recipient can retrieve it. Like messages, images are deleted automatically after 180 days.
- Voice calls (optional): If you call a friend, our server only arranges the connection: who calls whom and when, accepting and declining, and the technical connection details of your apps. The conversation itself goes encrypted directly from app to app and does not pass through our server; we do not record anything. For the direct connection both apps see each other’s IP address, and your app asks a Cloudflare STUN server for its public address. Who called whom, when and for how long is kept as an entry in the chat and deleted after 180 days, the technical connection details after one hour at the latest. The app only uses the microphone during a call.
- Files for friends (optional): If you share a profile, send a friend a copy or accept a join request with mods, the app uploads the files of your mods, resource packs and shaders as well as the mod settings to our server so your friends can download them. Only you and the recipients or the members of the shared profile can download them. The files are deleted as soon as everyone has downloaded them, after 24 hours at the latest.
- Discord status (optional): If Discord is running on your device, the app shows there that you are using Cobblr and, while playing, the profile name, Minecraft version and mod loader. For servers it only shows “on a server”, never the name or address. This information goes directly from the app to your Discord client, not through us; the Discord Privacy Policy applies there. You can turn off the Discord status in the app settings under “Privacy”.
Microsoft/Minecraft sign-in: Sign-in happens directly with Microsoft, Xbox Live and Mojang. Access tokens are stored only on your device and are never sent to us. The Microsoft Privacy Statement applies.
Third-party services: To download Minecraft, mod loaders and content, the app connects directly to the following services, which see your IP address: Mojang/Microsoft (game files and Java runtime), Modrinth, CurseForge (downloads via forgecdn.net), Fabric, Quilt, Forge, NeoForge, PaperMC and Purpur (server software) and mc-heads.net (player heads). CurseForge search requests go through our server. If you open the embedded CurseForge page for a download, CurseForge sets its own cookies and shows ads there; the CurseForge (Overwolf) Privacy Policy applies.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the features you use and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in updates, security and usage statistics).
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy as needed. The current version is always available on this page. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email.
